  • Level 1 - mediBall Certification

    The first Level of the Integrated Corrective Exercise program, mediBall® Certification will provide practical skills and related scientific knowledge required to effectively assess your client's functional capacity to exercise on a Swiss ball and instruct in a range of Swiss ball exercises.
  • It is our aim to give participants a strong foundation on which to build their understanding, practice and instruction of Swiss ball exercises by providing a large practical component and a variety of models and techniques to conduct assessments. A certificate in health or fitness modality is a pre-requisite of this course.
  • At the completion of courses, students are required to complete multiple choice examinations based on competencies covered in their workshops.

  • Introduction to ICE floor work stability sequence
  • Identification and classification of core anatomy
  • Anatomical components of stabilisation
  • Identification of spinal muscular slings
  • Planes of motion definition
  • ICE principles; observation, assessment and corrective strategy
  • Musculoskeletal observations and assessments for spinal stabilisation and muscle imbalances
  • ICE floor work (horizontal) exercise for spinal stabilisation and muscular sling activation
  • Overview of corrective strategies Musculoskeletal pathologies and the implications of exercise
  • ICE exercise selection and planning principles
  • Education strategies for client/patient compliance

  • ICE floor work stability sequence

  • ICE floor work (horizontal) exercise or spinal stabiliation and muscular sling activation
  • Swiss ball exercise strategies
  • Introduction to ICE Swiss ball stability sequence (horizontal)

  • ICE Swiss ball exercise progressions and regressions
  • Musculoskeletal pathologies and the implications of exercise

Duration
Attendance for the full duration of both workshops is compulsory for certification. Each workshop is 8 Hours duration. (including a lunch break)

Competency Assessment
At the completion of the level, students will be required to complete multiple choice examinations based on competencies covered in both workshops.

Certification
At the completion of the course and sufficient achievement of competencies, each graduate will receive a Certificate of Competency.
